She is also an active research and educator in the areas of digital citizenship and digital humanities at NUS. She has been involved in international academic communities in library and information science, such as chair of the programming committee for the Association of Library and Information Science Education (ALISE), and steering committee member for the International Conference on Digital Preservation (iPres). She is currently serving as a steering committee member for the International Conference on Asia-Pacific Digital Libraries (ICADL).
